There are 2 possibilities. One is if the client is a manufacturer of measuring devices. Then the audit takes a different direction as they need to adhere to a lot of controls to ensure only accurate measuring devices are sent. Clients are also required to do verification and certification of such devices annually.

The other is where any manufacturing facility need to comply with the act. One part is that each measuring device in the factory is to be certified for its accuracy annually. The second part which affects them most is that every product dispatched must have labels that are properly and fully compliant with the requirement of the act and the notifications from time to time. This is called packing rules.

If the company is large and has a number of products then verifying each packing label and the controls needs time and requires an extensive audit.
