This is probably the most recongnised and leading certification for Risk Professionals.

Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA)- Institute of Internal Auditors

As per IIA website (www.theiia.org), "The CRMA is one more mark of professional distinction for internal audit practitioners. Earning the CRMA will assist you in demonstrating your ability to: -Provide assurance on core business processes in risk management and governance. -Educate management and the audit committee on risk and risk management concepts. -Focus on strategic organizational risks. -Add value for your organization The CRMA exam covers four domain areas. Domain I: Organizational governance related to risk management (25-30 percent) Domain II: Principles of risk management processes (25-30 percent) Domain III: Assurance role of the Internal Auditor (IA) (20-25 percent) Domain IV: Consulting role of the Internal Auditor (IA) (20-25 percent)

Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) - (ISACA)

As per ISACA website, "CRISC is the only certification that prepares and enables IT professionals for the unique challenges of IT and enterprise risk management, and positions them to become strategic partners to the enterprise." Further, as per the website (www.isaca.org), CRISC is the most current and rigorous assessment available to evaluate the risk management proficiency of IT professionals and other employees within an enterprise or financial institute. IIBF-Diploma in Treasury, Investment and Risk Management

The Indian Institute of Capital Markets, Navi Mumbai offers a short six-month certificate programme Financial Engineering and Risk Management for middle and senior executives working in banks, primary dealers, mutual funds, financial institutions, equity research firms, investment banks, corporate financial risk managers, brokerage houses and other financial services industry so that they can be equipped with the modern products, processes, practices and techniques in the financial services industry.

One-year International Post Graduate Diploma in Risk Management (IIRM)

Indian Institute of Risk Management (IIRM) offers a one-year post graduate diploma programme in Risk Management. The courses taught in the first semester include core modules on business and economics, risk and insurance, insurance law, risk in financial institutions, IT Risk management and operational management. In the second and final semester, the thrust shifts to enterprise risk management, legal and contract risks, treasury risk management and corporate governance.

As per NISM's website (www.nism.ac.in), "The Securities Operations and Risk Management Certification Examination aims at building a cadre of professionals who would be skilled in understanding the operational aspects of the securities industry." "The Securities and Operations Risk Management certification discusses the various products and participants in the securities market and the trade life cycle in its entirety including clearing and settlement of trades. The functioning of the front office, middle office and back office in a broking firm has also been discussed in detail. It also focuses on the various risk management requirements and practices; the procedures followed for redressing investor grievances; and arbitration mechanism followed in the securities industry"
